This Autumn we have a new Yin Yoga class in the Dublin Holistic Centre.

Join us on Tuesday evenings from 7.45pm to 8.45pm for a slow, candlelit Yin practise. Everything you will need is available at the centre, however some people do prefer to bring their own mat. We will finish the class with a lovely long savasana (relaxation) so pack some fluffy socks so that you can be toasty warm and comfy.

The class is suitable for all levels and works well as an introduction to both yoga and meditation, as well as a great compliment to an existing training regime that may be more vigorous.

Places can also be booked via the Dublin Holistic Centre’s website, dublinholisticcentre.ie

Yin is a type of yoga that works deep into joints and connective tissue of the body. Slower than most traditional styles of yoga, Yin presents a challenge in the form of poses being held for a long time. This allows the deep tissue of the joints to be lubricated and loosened. The Yin practise focuses on turning our attention inward, encouraging introspection and reflection in the middle of our hectic lives. Yin is a perfect introduction to yoga and mindfulness and is suitable for everyone, even complete beginners.

Clodagh has been providing seated yoga and mindfulness at Acorn Lodge for almost a year. There have been notable improvements in all residents who take part and they very much look forward to her weekly visits.
